These past couple of weekends have been very busy for We Wear History, my costuming group here in town. On Saturday, September 20th we put on a Through the Ages Fashion
Show for the antique store Something Special. It was so much fun! The day was fabulous...not too cold and not too hot! The owner of the store, Gwen, had been wanting to do a fashion show for a tea party for quite a while and it finally came to be! We demonstrated 5 different categories...1) underwear 2) 1860s hoops 3) natural form and second bustle 4) 1890s and early Edwardian and 5) Teens era. Tammy was a wonderful emcee and described our dresses wonderfully! What I love most about fashion shows is the look on the lady's and gentlemen's faces when they see the dresses and especially what was worn under them!
Here are a few of the pictures that were taken. For more visit our Facebook page...
This past Saturday, we helped The Bishops' House celebrate thier 125th Birthday! Aaaaaand since it was a Birthday party, we decided that we should wear tiaras!! This was a very special event for me because it was the first time my Mother in Law, who does not in Idaho, attended with me!! She wore my yellow Ruth DeWitt Bukater tea dress and I think she looked fabulous!!

It has been a fun past couple of weeks and we have many more events in the planning! I can't wait!!
Be blessed my friends!
