To all who mourn in Israel, He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory. Isaiah 61:3

1903 Sailor Dress at Port Townsend Photo Shoot

Ok!  Last installment of the Port Townsend trip.  I was busy taking pictures of other people and places on Sunday and didn't keep an eye on the battery on the camera.  I was in the middle of photographing Rebecca when all of the sudden the battery died!  I was really bummed as the sky was so perfect and the day was so great that I really wanted pictures of my dress against the dark and stormy sky.  It was at that moment that I remembered I had my camera back at the B&B, so after saying our goodbyes giving hugs all around, Mom and I went back to our B&B, grabbed my camera, Mom changed into much warmer clothing and we headed back to the light house.  I am so glad that we did because there are a few pics where the dress and the sky look like they were made specifically for each other!!

And with this last wild haired girl photo, my pics from PT come to an end!

Next up?  An 1895 Sailor dress reproduction of the one from FIT!!!  Laaaaaa!!!

Be Blessed my friends!!

  7. Oh how glad I am to be back on your lovely blog, Gina! Got a lot to catch up to but from what I can see there's a lot of garments to swoon over, so I can't wait to read all the posts I haven't seen yet!
